Trust is the quiet courage of moving forward without needing to know exactly where the path will lead.
There is a particular kind of vulnerability in not knowing. We want signs. Certainty. Proof that the choice we are making is the right one, that the thing we are building will work, that the person we are becoming will be able to hold the life waiting on the other side.
But trust rarely gives us proof first.
It asks us to move anyway.
Trust feels like stepping into deep water and discovering, little by little, that you know how to float.
Rich layers of teal, emerald, turquoise, deep blue, and nearly black green create an immersive landscape, while luminous passages of cream and warm metallic gold emerge from within the darker depths. The composition has an almost underwater quality—mysterious and enveloping, filled with organic forms that seem to hover, drift, rise, and transform.
There are places where the painting opens completely and others where it becomes dense and unknowable. Brilliant cobalt appears unexpectedly along the edges. Gold glows from beneath translucent layers like small pockets of illumination—never enough to reveal the entire landscape, but perhaps enough to show you where to place your foot next.
And that is the heart of Trust.
We so often believe trust means feeling certain.
It doesn't.
Trust is choosing to continue when certainty isn't available. It is listening for the quieter knowing beneath the noise of fear. It is allowing something to unfold before demanding that it explain itself. It is understanding that sometimes we are given only the next step because the next step is all we actually need.

To stop asking life to hand us the entire map.
