Reiki-Infused Original
The Verdant Realm feels like discovering a world that has always existed just beyond the edges of our own.
Emerald, moss, jade, and deep forest green move through luminous layers of copper, rose gold, cream, and earthen metallics, creating something that feels simultaneously botanical and otherworldly. Forms emerge and disappear throughout the composition—suggestions of ancient trees, stone, water, bodies, caverns, pathways and hidden openings—never resolving completely, but inviting the eye to wander deeper.
There is something wonderfully alive about this piece.
The greens feel fertile and untamed, while the metallic passages catch the light and shift as you move around the painting, revealing textures and shapes that can almost disappear when viewed from another angle. Soft pools of negative space offer moments of breath amid the richness, like light filtering through an impossibly dense forest or small portals opening into somewhere unknown.
As with all of my work, The Verdant Realm began not with an image I intended to create, but with feeling. The paints and paper were Reiki-infused before I began, and from there I allowed color, movement, gravity, intuition, and the materials themselves to become part of the conversation. What emerged feels like an exploration of abundance and becoming—the wild, complicated beauty of allowing life to grow without demanding that we know exactly what shape it will take.
Perhaps that is the invitation within The Verdant Realm: to remember that not everything beautiful needs to be controlled, understood, or named. Sometimes we simply enter the wilderness and allow ourselves to be changed by it.
Matted and framed, this original 12 × 16 work arrives ready to inhabit its own little world within yours—a luminous, ever-changing landscape for the collector who finds beauty in mystery, transformation, and the wildness of being alive.
