There is a particular kind of exhaustion that comes from trying to manage every outcome. We plan, anticipate, brace, rearrange, protect, and hold on—sometimes so tightly that we leave no space for surprise, intuition, or the possibility that something beautiful might exist beyond what we can currently imagine.
This piece feels like the moment the grip begins to soften.
Layers of saturated magenta, berry, dusty violet, fresh green, pale aqua, cream, and luminous touches of blue move freely across the composition, pooling and bleeding into one another in ways that could never be completely controlled. Broad passages stretch horizontally across the piece like an abstract landscape, while delicate drips and organic edges reveal the beautiful unpredictability of the materials themselves.
