There are places within us that feel as vast and unknowable as the sea.
Oceanus was created in honor of those depths—the ancient, instinctual places where emotion, memory, mystery, and transformation move beneath the surface. Named for the primordial waters of Greek mythology, Oceanus evokes something larger than the ocean itself: an endless current, a boundaryless beginning, a place from which life emerges and to which everything eventually returns.
Layers of turquoise, cerulean, midnight blue, deep indigo, smoky violet, and luminous metallic copper move across the composition like shifting tides. Pools of brilliant aqua open into darker passages, while delicate ivory forms appear almost suspended within the water—reminiscent of sea foam, shells, jellyfish, distant moons, or tiny organisms illuminated in an underwater world. Above and around them, copper catches the light like sunlight touching the surface of the sea, creating a beautiful tension between what is illuminated and what remains hidden.
There is something deeply immersive about Oceanus. The eye is invited to wander rather than settle, moving through hidden coves, currents, shadows, and flashes of light. It carries the feeling of surrendering to something far greater than ourselves—not with fear, but with reverence.
