Frolic
Frolic
Original Mixed Media Artwork
14 × 14 inches
Original Canvas
Reiki-Infused Original
Frolic is what happens when joy is given permission to wander.
There is a playful freedom within this piece, a sense of movement without destination or expectation—the kind of uninhibited delight found in running barefoot through a garden, following something glittering through the trees, or remembering for a moment what it felt like to believe the world was filled with hidden magic.
Layers of raspberry, rose, violet, soft lavender, mossy green, and luminous gold spill and curl across the canvas in an organic landscape that feels simultaneously botanical and otherworldly. Pools of metallic pigment appear like tiny treasures caught beneath the surface, while delicate cells, wisps, and unexpected shapes emerge throughout the composition. There are suggestions of petals and wings, winding pathways and miniature worlds, yet nothing asks to be defined. The longer you look, the more there is to discover.
Where its sister piece, Enchanted Midsummer, feels like stepping through the doorway into an enchanted realm, Frolicfeels like what happens once you are inside.
It is movement. Curiosity. Play. The delicious freedom of following whatever catches your attention simply because it delights you.
Created intuitively through layers of mixed media, fluid movement, metallic pigment, and surrendered mark-making, Frolic holds the energy of allowing rather than controlling. Each passage seems to tumble naturally into the next, creating a composition that feels alive—as though the painting itself might continue growing and shifting long after the artist has stepped away.
As with all Heart Space Studio originals, Frolic has been infused with Reiki throughout the creative process, carrying an intention of joy, lightness, curiosity, and reconnection with the playful parts of ourselves that adulthood so often asks us to quiet.
Presented as an original 14 × 14 canvas, Frolic is a luminous invitation to bring a little more wonder into the everyday—to follow beauty when it appears, to leave room for the unexpected, and every once in a while, to wander simply for the joy of seeing where you might end up.
